Job Function / Purpose

  • Develop and implement Gyrodata, Inc.’s global marketing strategies and communications, and manage Marketing Department personnel

Essential Duties

  • Lead and implement Gyrodata Inc.’s global marketing strategies and communications
  • Lead and implement Commercialization strategies and launch plans for new technologies
  • Manage, train, discipline, supervise and evaluate Marketing Department personnel and ensure proper performance of job duties
  • Develop and maintain standards pertaining to Gyrodata’s corporate image in printed, electronic, photographic, recorded and all other media formats
  • Develop marketing publications, presentations, advertisements, and trade show exhibitions
  • Ensure that corporate marketing standards are maintained globally and proper branding control of promotional materials
  • Ensure company products are officially trademarked and obtain all necessary registrations
  • Develop and maintain standards of Gyrodata’s corporate publications including presentations, letterheads, proposals, business cards etc. to ensure global consistency
  • Author or assist others in the authoring technical papers and articles and arrange for publication
  • Develop and distribute press releases
  • Support Gyrodata’s participation at conferences and exhibitions as requested by Regional Managers
  • Perform analysis of industry and market trends
  • Prepare, present and/or support annual performance reviews for major clients with Vice President or Worldwide Operations
  • Seek opportunities to expand the use of annual reviews as a tool to demonstrate outstanding performance and continued improvement
  • Coordinate, present and/or support lunch and learn events for clients
  • Actively seek and encourage the development of case studies for marketing to showcase unique jobs or successes
  • Prepare or assist Operations or sales personnel in preparation of technical and commercial proposals
  • Provide or coordinate training for sales people on new marketing products
  • Develop Marketing budgets and manage corporate marketing expenses
  • Provide reports and forecasts as required
  • Travel as necessary to perform job duties

Required Qualifications

  • Strong written and oral English communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4 year college or university in Marketing, Engineering or Business
  • 5 years minimum oilfield industry experience
  • 10 years minimum marketing experience
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills
  • Expert marketing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding telephone and computer skills
  • Strong technical knowledge of Gyrodata products and services
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and clients
  • Ability to maintain own workflow and meet deadlines
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Ability to respond to frequent demands of multiple customers (internal and external)
  • Ability to use a computer for accessing and sending e-mail, opening and revising documents, accessing internet and web-based Gyrodata, Inc. systems, including SharePoint, HRIS and ability to use Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Working Conditions                                                                          

  • The job is performed primarily in an office environment with minimal exposure to safety hazards, although there may be exposure to elements and hazards inherent to routine travel. The job requires some physical exertion, including sitting, standing, walking, occasional light lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling. The job requires operation of standard office equipment, including computers and telephones. The job requires following written and oral instructions, attention to detail, ability to multitask, ability to work with others, ability to meet deadlines, compliance with specific safety protocols and regular attendance. The job requires following and enforcing established policies procedures and meeting quality and safety standards. The job requires attention to emergency and time sensitive tasks, which may include working irregular and prolonged hours. The job requires making decisions based on experience and knowledge without supervision, as well as supervising, directing and training others. The job requires setting goals and responsibility for results.
