MWD Operations Coordinator

Job Function / Purpose

  • Oversee coordination of allocating personnel and equipment to MWD client jobs and deliver resulting data (surveys and logs) to clients.

Essential Duties

  • Coordinate appropriate equipment and personnel for timely delivery to client at the job site
  • Coordinate logistics of sending tools and equipment to and from job sites
  • Monitor non-conformance in product or service to the client and work with field personnel to correct
  • Oversee field personnel training and development to ensure appropriate career development and proper qualifications for client needs
  • Conduct shop or field training with field personnel on MWD products and services
  • Travel to job sites to inspect operations to ensure process and equipment application compliance
  • Travel as necessary to provide support to clients, including office visits, and communicate with clients to address any questions or concerns
  • Collect logs and data from field personnel and format as appropriate  for delivery to client; communicate with client as necessary to address questions or concerns
  • Manage day-to-day activities and duties of field personnel, including vacation days, sick days and performance reviews; conduct monthly job day reconciliation and resolve any discrepancies
  • Communicate with third party vendors regarding tools or equipment purchased, including any issues regarding timely delivery, technical requirements or other specifications
  • Communicate with field personnel regarding any changes to products, services or techniques
  • Prepare any necessary failure or incident reports and collaborate with Gyrodata, Inc. personnel to investigate and resolve any such failures; communicate with client to address any questions or concerns and meet client expectations
  • Prepare bottom hole assembly tool list
  • Answer calls from field personnel on a 24 hours per day 7 days per week as necessary to address questions or emergencies
  • Represent Gyrodata, Inc. in a positive and professional manner and maintain excellent customer service, including communication with clients during all phases of a job including, job monitoring and post-job delivery of data and surveys

HSE Function

  • Comply with applicable quality assurance standards

Required Qualifications

  • Strong written and oral English communication skills
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years experience as a Gyrodata, Inc. or equivalent industry experience
  • Excellent client relations and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve with limited supervision
  • Ability to use a computer for accessing and sending e-mail, opening and revising documents, accessing internet and web-based Gyrodata, Inc. systems, including SharePoint and ability to use Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4 year college or university
  • Experience using OASIS or similar software
  • Experience using DigiDrill or similar software

Working Conditions                                                                                   

  • The job is performed primarily in an office environment with minimal exposure to safety hazards, although there may be exposure to elements and hazards inherent to routine travel. The job requires some physical exertion, including sitting, standing, walking, occasional light lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling. The job requires operation of standard office equipment, including computers and telephones. The job requires following written and oral instructions, attention to detail, ability to multitask, ability to work with others, ability to meet deadlines, compliance with specific safety protocols and regular attendance. The job requires following and enforcing established policies procedures and meeting quality and safety standards. The job requires attention to emergency and time sensitive tasks, which may include working irregular and prolonged hours. The job requires making decisions based on experience and knowledge without supervision, as well as supervising, directing and training others. The job requires setting goals and responsibility for results.
